How do I find a percentage of a number? +
Multiply the number by the percent, then divide by 100. Example: 16% of 2,500 = 2,500 × 0.16 = 400.
How do I find what percent one number is of another? +
Divide the part by the whole, then multiply by 100. Example: 400 is 16% of 2,500.
How is percentage change calculated? +
((new − old) ÷ old) × 100. A rise from 80 to 100 is a 25% increase. The starting value cannot be zero.
